GCC-Q series fully enclosed waterproof ultrasonic level gauge detailed explanation
1、 Product Overview
The GCC-Q series fully enclosed waterproof ultrasonic level gauge is a professional equipment designed specifically for hydrological level measurement, with significant features such as reliable performance, stable operation, and wide applicability. Even under adverse weather conditions, it can work normally throughout the day in the Northeast region, especially during floods exceeding the standard, highlighting its superiority and providing strong support for timely, accurate, and rapid collection of water information for flood control and rescue.
2、 Applicable scenarios
This level gauge is suitable for measuring water levels in various liquid level environments such as rivers, lakes, reservoirs, estuaries, ship locks, and canals. With its unique working principle, it can serve as an important component of data acquisition systems and hydrological automatic monitoring systems. It is worth mentioning that the GCC-Q series fully enclosed waterproof ultrasonic level gauge performs particularly well for non vertical shore and water level measurement scenarios with small water level amplitude and horizontal amplitude. In addition, combined with the GCC-Q series telemetry device, real-time remote observation of water level can be achieved, further improving the efficiency and timeliness of hydrological monitoring.
3、 Working principle
The sensor of GCC-Q series fully enclosed waterproof ultrasonic level gauge is set above the measured medium. When the sensor is powered on, it will emit ultrasonic pulses to the medium, which propagate through the air to reach the surface of the medium and then reflect back. Some of the reflected echoes will be received by the same sensor and converted into electrical signals.
The time taken from the start of pulse transmission to final reception, i.e. the transmission time of the pulse, is proportional to the distance from the sensor to the surface of the medium. Based on this, the distance from the sensor to the surface of the medium can be accurately calculated based on the transmission time of the pulse and the propagation speed of the pulse in the air (340m/s).
It should be noted that due to the time characteristic of the sensor's amplitude reduction oscillation, the echo reflected back from a distance below the ultrasonic level gauge probe cannot be received by the sensor, and this distance is called a blind spot. The minimum blind zone distance between the water surface and the sensor membrane of the ultrasonic level gauge probe depends on the design parameters of the sensor; The maximum range of measurement for ultrasonic level gauges depends on the degree of attenuation of ultrasonic pulses in air and the intensity of ultrasonic waves reflected from the surface of the medium.
4、 Product advantages

5、 Product Disadvantages and Suggestions for Response
environmental constraintsThis level gauge is susceptible to the influence of storms and wind waves, especially in the waters under locks, dams, and other locks. Due to the turbulent water flow and large waves, it will seriously affect the accuracy of measurement. Therefore, it is not suitable to install ultrasonic level gauges in such areas under locks.
alternativeIn the above unsuitable installation scenarios, if it is an area with turbulent water flow such as under the gate, an input type liquid level gauge can be used as a substitute; If there is a measuring well, a float level gauge can be used as a substitute to ensure the smooth progress of water level measurement work.
