For a long time, orifice flow meters have been widely used due to their mature technology, high standardization, simple structure, and easy maintenance. Orifice flow meters are also commonly used in offshore oil engineering.
Taking the gas outlet measurement of the test separator on the oil production platform as an example, due to the characteristics of the medium being a gas with generally high pressure, complex composition, and a large flow range that varies with the year, it is determined that the application of orifice flowmeter * is suitable for this occasion. Especially in recent years, the replaceable orifice plate has solved the problem of low range ratio of the original orifice plate flowmeter and has been widely used. However, replaceable orifice plates are expensive, generally at least 5 times the price of orifice flow meters with the same diameter. So is there a better product to replace it? I think the V-cone flowmeter is the * * product that replaces it.
The advantages of the 1V cone flowmeter are that it was only introduced in China around 2000. Its working principle is the same as that of an orifice flowmeter. When the medium passes through the V-cone, due to the presence of the flow blocking element V-cone, the flow area of the fluid changes and the flow velocity changes. According to the Bernoulli equation, the change in flow velocity causes a change in pressure, which is related to the flow velocity to a certain extent. The purpose of measuring flow rate is achieved by measuring the pressure difference. Although the principle is the same as the orifice plate, the essential difference is that the orifice plate is a center contraction type throttling device, while the V-cone is a side wall contraction type throttling device.
The narrow measurement range is the main reason that restricts the use of orifice plates. The main reason for the narrow measurement range is that the flow coefficient of the orifice plate varies greatly with the Reynolds number, and the sudden throttling of the orifice plate causes a relatively large vortex behind it. The existence of this vortex directly leads to significant signal noise, thereby limiting its measurement range. The V-cone flowmeter overcomes the above drawbacks.
As shown in the figure, the V-cone flow sensor is composed of an internal throttling element V-cone and a pressure measuring device coaxial with the pipeline. When the fluid passes through, it does not suddenly change the flow state of the fluid like an orifice plate, but rather the medium contracts towards the edge wall with the direction of the cone. This cone plays a role in adjusting the flow state of the medium, reshaping the flow curve, and making the fluid flow more stable. Moreover, due to the presence of inertial forces, the medium is not as easily worn by the edges as the orifice plate, and the service life of the V-cone is long. Due to the structure of V-cone *, V-cone flow meters have many advantages over orifice flow meters.
McQonee, an early manufacturer of V-cones with a wider range than 11, conducted a series of testing and research work and concluded that the signal-to-noise ratio of V-cones is much lower compared to orifice plates. Due to its low signal-to-noise ratio, the V-cone can accurately measure even the measured differential pressure under small operating conditions when measuring small flow rates. Therefore, there is no need to improve the impact of signal noise by increasing the damping of the transmitter like an orifice plate. Because of this, the range ratio of the V-cone is much larger than that of the orifice plate. Professor SNSig from the Indian Institute of Technology conducted experiments using oil and water at different Reynolds numbers.
The design of the 34 heat sink 171 single-chip integrated chip is composed of semiconductor PN structure. Designing and selecting a suitable heat sink is an important guarantee for the normal operation of the circuit and achieving the design specifications. When designing a heat sink (board), the following factors need to be considered: ① the packaging form of the chip; ② The maximum allowable power consumption of the chip; ③ High ambient temperature; ④ Selected board and thickness, etc. Refer to the thermal parameters related to packaging and commonly used heat sink design standards, install appropriate heat sinks to ensure the normal operation of the circuit.
The selection of the concluding remarks has achieved the characteristics of small size, multifunctionality, high efficiency, low power consumption, convenient adjustment, and flexible application in the circuit. Experimental tests have shown that the input voltage of this circuit can vary from 8 to 55V, and the output current can reach 3A * with a high output power of 80W and an output ripple of 34mV. The power efficiency of the power supply can reach 92% This circuit is not only used as a power supply for instruments and testing systems, but also as a switch power supply for laptops powered by 33V.
