What are the protection levels of Anhui Chunhui compensation wires
Date: 2025-06-03Read: 6
Anhui Chunhui Compensation WireThe protection level mainly refers to its ability to resist external environmental factors such as mechanical damage, chemical corrosion, water vapor invasion, etc. These characteristics are usually achieved through the structural design and material selection of the cable, such as using different insulation materials, sheath materials, and adding shielding layers.
In industrial standards, the protective performance of compensating wires is not directly defined as "protection level", but is reflected through relevant technical parameters and standards, such as:
Insulation materials: Depending on the usage environment, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), fluoroplastics (such as FEP or PTFE), silicone rubber, etc. can be selected as insulation materials. These materials have different temperature resistance, wear resistance, and chemical corrosion resistance.
Sheath material: Similar to the selection of insulation materials, sheath materials can also affect the protective performance of compensating wires. Common ones include PVC, PE (polyethylene), LSZH (low smoke and halogen-free), fluoroplastics, etc.
Shielding layer: To prevent electromagnetic interference, compensating wires may contain one or more layers of shielding, such as copper wire braided shielding, aluminum-plastic composite tape shielding, etc.
Flame retardancy: Some applications require compensating wires to have good flame retardancy to prevent the spread of fire. This usually follows specific standards, such as GB/T 18380.3 (IEC 60332-3).
Temperature resistance range: The working temperature range of compensating wires is also an important indicator for measuring their protective performance. For example, the working temperature range of ordinary compensating wires is usually -40 ℃ to+70 ℃ or -40 ℃ to+105 ℃, while heat-resistant compensating wires can operate at higher temperatures, such as -60 ℃ to+260 ℃.
Mechanical strength: including bending radius, tensile strength, etc., reflects the durability of compensating wires during installation and long-term operation.
Although there is no unified concept of "protection level", users can choose appropriate compensation wires based on specific application needs and the above indicators. For application scenarios that require higher levels of protection, armored compensating wires can be considered, which contain a metal armor layer inside and can provide better physical protection. At the same time, relevant product standards and technical specifications can also be referred to, such as GB/T 4989-94 (National Standard for Thermocouple Compensation Wires), to ensure the applicability of the selected product.
