(1) Round aluminum rod

Request to check the degree of roundness, whether there are defects such as folded edges, wrong circles, cracks, inclusions, twists, and serious mechanical damage scars, pits, peeling, flying edges, corrosion spots, etc.

(2) Round copper wire

Check the surface for smoothness, presence of triangular edges, burrs, cracks, folds, inclusions, severe scars, pits, mechanical damage, corrosion spots, etc. It is worth mentioning the degree of oxidation of copper wire. Generally, golden yellow is considered normal, light red is considered slight oxidation, and when the surface appears dark red or blue, it is considered severe oxidation. Any situation where severe oxidation occurs should be treated as waste. During the manufacturing process of aluminum wires, there are quite a few instances of derailment, which should be strictly controlled when constructing overhead transmission lines.

(3) Aluminum wire surface

The wires of wire and cable products should be tightly and neatly twisted, without looseness, twisting, jumping or protruding of single wires, or breaking of single wires. In addition, the joint welding of a single line should be round and anti-corrosion treatment is required for the welding. The increase in the majority of the joint should generally not exceed twice the diameter tolerance. The distance between the two welding points of a single line joint should also meet the standard. The distance between the two welding points of the same single line should not be less than 15 meters, and the distance between the two welding points of different single lines on the same layer should not be less than 5 meters for the inner layer and 15 meters for the outer layer. When the copper core is a single copper wire, welding is not allowed.
