According to the national standard GB/T1226-2001 "General Pressure Gauge", pressure gauges are divided into direct installation pressure gauges, embedded (disc mounted) pressure gauges, and protruding (wall mounted) pressure gauges based on threaded joints and installation methods.
Direct installation pressure gauges are divided into two types: radial direct type (radial edgeless, such as model Y-100, old standard called Type I gauge) and axial direct type (axial edgeless, such as model Y-100Z, old standard called Type IV gauge). In the axial direct type, the shell with a nominal diameter of 60 or less is the axial concentric direct type, and 100 or more is the axial eccentric direct type. Embedded (disc mounted) pressure gauges are used for opening and embedding on instrument panels, and are divided into axial embedded type (axial front, such as model Y-100ZT, formerly known as type III gauge) and radial embedded type (radial front, such as model Y-100TQ).
Radial embedded type is rarely used and is not specified in the standard. Convex mounted (wall mounted) pressure gauges are used for installation on walls or instrument panels, with the instrument protruding from the wall or instrument panel after installation. It is divided into radial convex installation (radial rear, such as model Y-100T, old standard called Type II table) and axial convex installation (axial rear, generally rarely used).
