Since the introduction of thin film technology in 1974 to develop thin film platinum resistance elements and successfully solve the cost and application problems of platinum resistance elements, there has been more than 30 years of history. With the increasing development of photolithography technology, the development of thin film platinum resistance elements has made rapid progress.
The thermal effect is used for temperature measurement, which refers to the characteristic of the resistance value of a resistor changing with temperature. Therefore, as long as the resistance change of the thermistor is measured, the temperature can be measured.
Explosion proof thermistor uses a special structure of junction box and assembled thermocouple to confine the explosion of explosive mixed gas inside its shell caused by sparks or arcs within the junction box, so as not to cause explosion in the production site. Explosion proof thermal resistors can be used for temperature measurement in places with explosive hazards. The temperature measurement principle of thermistor is different from that of thermocouple. Thermistor is based on the development of resistance and largely depends on the development of its core component, platinum thermistor element. The development direction of platinum resistance elements has shifted from traditional mica platinum resistance elements, ceramic platinum resistance elements, glass platinum resistance elements to thick film platinum resistance elements and thin film platinum resistance elements, especially thin film platinum resistance elements.
