How to specify the shielding layer area of variable frequency cables

Shielding of variable frequency cables

The cable is suitable for connecting the power supply of variable frequency motors and variable frequency controllers, as well as new short-circuit automatic protection equipment. The ratio of the electric field strength at a certain point in the shielded space to the electric field strength at that point without a shielding layer is a number between 0-1. The smaller the shielding coefficient, the better the shielding effect of the shielding body. Therefore, the shielding of variable frequency cables plays an important role in variable frequency cables.

The shielding of variable frequency cables can be made of soft round copper wire (or tinned copper wire) braided or wrapped with copper tape, or a composite shielding structure of copper wire braided or copper wire bundle wrapped with copper tape can be used. The cross-sectional area of the shielding layer conductor should comply with the specifications in the table.

The shielding copper tape can be made of pure copper tape or copper plastic composite tape, and the thickness of the tape should not be less than 0.05mm.

When using double-layer composite shielding, the weaving density of copper wire should not be less than 60%, and when using weaving shielding, the weaving density of copper wire should not be less than 80%.
