What are the types of wear-resistant thermocouples
Date: 2025-11-17Read: 11
1、 Metal wear-resistant thermocouples use high-temperature resistant alloys as protective tubes, and common materials include 310S stainless steel, Inconel alloy, etc. Suitable for scenarios with temperatures ≤ 1200 ℃ and moderate wear, such as boiler air powder ducts and ordinary kiln furnaces. The advantage is high mechanical strength and impact resistance, but the disadvantage is that the wear resistance at high temperatures is not as good as ceramic materials. 2、 The ceramic wear-resistant thermocouple protection tube is made of special ceramic materials such as corundum, silicon nitride, and silicon carbide ceramics. Suitable for temperatures ranging from 1200 ℃ to 1800 ℃, suitable for environments with strong wear and high temperature flue gas erosion, such as cement rotary kilns and metallurgical roasting furnaces. The characteristics are high temperature wear resistance, good chemical stability, but weak impact resistance, and collision should be avoided during installation and use. 3、 The composite wear-resistant thermocouple combines the advantages of metal and ceramic, and the common structure is "metal jacket+ceramic core" or "ceramic coated metal tube". Suitable for a wide temperature range (800 ℃ -1500 ℃), it can cope with scenarios where wear and impact coexist, such as water-cooled walls in thermal power boilers and furnaces in biomass boilers. Balancing impact resistance and wear resistance, it is a highly versatile type.
