In order to achieve automatic water addition during sintering, the expert group from Xuangang and Tangshan Iron and Steel have conducted more than half a year of argumentation and investigation. The conclusion drawn is that in order to achieve true automatic water addition, accurate detection of raw material moisture must be solved. However, online measurement of incoming material moisture before mixing cannot be achieved by general moisture meters because the raw materials before mixing are layered. Conventional reflective (infrared moisture meter, reflective microwave moisture meter) and contact (electrode, contact microwave) moisture meters can only measure a certain type of raw material moisture in the top layer, and cannot achieve the purpose of measuring incoming material moisture; Our company's MSF-300 microwave moisture meter is a non-contact, penetrating belt with quality compensation, measuring the moisture content of the material section on the belt. Material layering has no effect on our equipment. The online measurement of moisture content in the incoming materials before the second burning and mixing of Xuangang on November 22, 2015 also confirmed this!

Note: Tangshan Iron and Steel 360M2 installed 9 infrared moisture meters to achieve automatic water addition, Taiyuan Iron and Steel 660M2 installed 6 meters, and Jingtang Iron and Steel 550M2 installed 5 meters. However, all of them did not achieve automatic water addition due to inaccurate measurement of infrared moisture meters!
