Beijing Xuxin Shengke Instrument Equipment Co., Ltd. - Soil Inorganic Sample Preparation Plan
Date: 2018-12-26Read: 7

Regarding the preparation of soil samples, there are relevant preparation procedures and quality control requirements in the "Technical Regulations for Collection, Circulation, Preparation, and Preservation of Agricultural Soil Samples" (hereinafter referred to as the "Technical Regulations") and the "Technical Specifications for Soil Environmental Monitoring" (HJ/T 166-2004). Different analysis projects have different requirements for soil fineness, and soil samples with different mesh sizes should be crushed according to standards. For example, pH should be crushed to 10 mesh, organic matter should be crushed to 60 mesh, and heavy metals should be crushed to 100 mesh.

1. Rough crushing of samples

For coarse crushing of samples, the soil sample is crushed into particles smaller than 2mm (10 mesh). Manual coarse crushing is time-consuming and labor-intensive. Using the ST-E200 desktop jaw crusher can improve preparation efficiency. The feeding hopper, jaw plate, and collection box can be disassembled without any tools, and the crushing chamber is clear at a glance, making cleaning very convenient. Desktop design saves experimental space.

2. Fine crushing of samples

In the soil investigation task, due to the requirements of the Technical Regulations, the fine grinding needs to reach a fineness of 100 mesh. Previously, planetary ball mills were mostly used, but due to the drawbacks of time-consuming and laborious cleaning, the sampling efficiency was greatly reduced. Now, ST-B200 bowl grinder is more commonly used for fine grinding. The principle is to simulate manual grinding, and the accessories adopt a plug-in design, which is efficient and easy to clean, making it an instrument for fine soil grinding.

3. Sample sieving

In the soil survey task, due to the requirements of the Technical Regulations, the 100 mesh screening rate must be achieved. The sample finely crushed by ST-B200 bowl grinder is sieved using ST-A200 vibrating sieve, which generates a three-dimensional throwing motion effect using electromagnetic drive without the need for motor drive, resulting in low noise and higher screening efficiency.
