Plastic tube rotor flowmeter is a flow measurement instrument based on the principle of float, which indicates the flow rate by the position change of the float inside the conical plastic tube. It is widely used in industrial fields such as chemical industry, environmental protection, food, water treatment, etc. The key selection points are as follows:
medium characteristics
Corrosivity: Choose corrosion-resistant materials based on the acidity or alkalinity of the medium (such as PVDF resistant to strong acids, PP resistant to general corrosion).
Viscosity: For high viscosity fluids, a correction factor is required or a metal tube rotor flowmeter should be selected.
Containing particulate matter: Some models are equipped with spring buffering protective structures, suitable for dirty media environments.
flow range
Select the measurement range based on the minimum/maximum flow rate to avoid errors caused by flow exceeding the measurement range. For example, the 0-100L/h model is selected for low flow scenarios (such as laboratories), and the 8000-60000L/h model is selected for high flow scenarios (such as industrial pipelines).
Accuracy and stability
For scenarios with strict flow control requirements (such as food additives), high-precision models (± 1%) are preferred, while ordinary models (± 1.5%~± 2.5%) can be used for ordinary industrial scenarios.
Installation and maintenance
Installation direction: It must be installed vertically, with fluid flowing from bottom to top, ensuring the straight pipe sections in front and behind the instrument (5D in front and 3D in back).
Convenience of maintenance: Choosing a transparent tube design (such as PC material) allows for direct observation of the fluid state, making it easy to clean the dirt on the cone tube wall.
Additional features
Some models support 4-20mA or pulse signal output (requiring magnetic coupling sensors) for remote monitoring; Customizable scales, installation accessories, or additional switch functions to meet personalized needs.
