2、 How to self rescue in case of fire

In the event of a fire, correct and effective methods should be taken for self rescue and evacuation to reduce casualties.

Once threatened by a fire, do not panic. Instead, calmly determine your location and analyze the surrounding smoke, flames, temperature, and other factors to determine the extent of the fire. Do not take blind action.

2. Employees who are in the building should not blindly open doors and windows when they discover a fire, as it may cause a fire and lead them into the room. They should also not run around blindly, let alone evacuate, to avoid unnecessary casualties. Be able to hide in the bathroom, close doors and windows tightly, cut off fire paths, and wait for rescue. If possible, continuously water the doors and windows to cool them down and slow down the spread of the fire.

3. In a building on fire, one should use the fire escape route and take the stairs to escape.

4. Under certain circumstances, be able to tie one end of the rope to the window frame and then slide it down to the ground.

When escaping from a fire, try to take protective measures as much as possible. Cover your mouth and nose with a damp towel, and wrap your body in wet clothing. In the midst of smoke, it is advisable to evacuate in a low position and follow the edge of the wall to avoid missing the direction.

6. If your clothes catch fire, you should quickly remove them or roll them on the spot to extinguish the flames with your body. You can also jump into a nearby pool to minimize the burn area and reduce the severity of the burn.

When a fire occurs, toxic and harmful gases are often produced to the human body. Therefore, to prevent toxic smoke, it is advisable to stay upwind and protect the mouth, nose, and eyes with wet towels or masks to avoid damage from toxic and harmful smoke.

When unable to escape the fire, go to the window or rooftop to call for help and wait for rescue.

3、 Types and usage methods of fire-fighting equipment

Usage:

⑴ Indoor fire hydrant: An indoor fire hydrant is a commonly used fire extinguishing facility for extinguishing indoor fires. It consists of an open valve and a water outlet, and is equipped with a water hose and a water gun. When using, first open the water hose, straighten it, and connect one side of the interface to the water outlet and the other side to the water gun. If the water hose is too short, an additional plate can be connected.

⑵ Portable dry powder fire extinguisher: mainly composed of a pressure handle, safety pin, cylinder body, nozzle, etc. When using a portable dry powder fire extinguisher, it should be carried out at a distance of about 3-5 meters from the burning object. The operator should first shake the fire extinguisher up and down, then remove the safety pin on the opening handle, and then hold the front nozzle root of the spray hose with one hand, and press the opening handle down with the other hand, quickly aiming at the root of the flame to spray dry powder for extinguishing the fire. When extinguishing a fire, be quick and do not leave any residue to prevent reignition. When extinguishing a fire, do not impact the liquid surface to prevent the liquid from splashing out and causing difficulties in extinguishing the fire.
