The use of EU CE certified anemometers, wind speed transmitters, and wind speed sensors
Date: 2024-05-08Read: 8

CE certification, also known as Conformit é Europ é enne, stands for European conformity assessment. The EU CE certification is a passport for products to enter the markets of EU and European Free Trade Area countries. If exporting products to Europe, CE certification is mandatory. Whether it is products produced by enterprises within EU member states or products produced in other countries, if they want to be legally sold in the EU market, they must be affixed with the 'EU CE certification mark'. If it is found that the product does not comply with the requirements of the EU directive, the manufacturer or distributor will be required to recall the product. For continuous violations of directive requirements, entry into the EU market may be restricted or prohibited, and withdrawal from the market may be required.

CE and ATEX certified anemometers can be used in the European Economic Area (EEA), 27 member states of the European Union, and 4 member states of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA). The 27 member states of the European Union include Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Ireland, Greece, Spain, France, Croatia, Italy, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Hungary, Malta, Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Finland, and Sweden. European Free Trade Association member countries (4): Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein.

Please note:

Although the four Free Trade Association member countries (Iceland, Norway, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein) are members of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA), CE certification is not mandatory in all four member countries.

Due to colonial relations in the old era, some countries in Africa, Southeast Asia, and Central Asia also accept CE certification.
