LED photoelectric performance analyzerIt is the core equipment for detecting LED electrical (such as forward voltage, reverse leakage current) and optical (such as light intensity, color coordinates) parameters. However, its high-voltage power supply (usually 0-100V), high-precision optical probe (vulnerable), and potential risks of electric shock and light radiation require operators to strictly comply with the safety red line guidelines. The following are key safety specifications:
1、 Electrical safety:
1. Power supply and grounding: The instrument must be connected to an independent ground wire (grounding resistance<4 Ω) to ensure that the shell is not charged (test the shell voltage with a voltage tester to be ≤ 0V); the power supply voltage must be strictly matched with the rated input of the instrument (such as AC 220V ± 10%, prohibit connecting 380V industrial electricity).
2. Testing wiring: When connecting LED samples, first disconnect the instrument power supply and use insulated tweezers or anti-static fixtures to operate (avoid direct contact between fingers and electrodes, as human static electricity may penetrate the LED chip); The positive and negative poles must not be reversed (reverse voltage exceeding the LED withstand voltage value (usually 5-10V) can cause chip breakdown and short circuit).
3. High voltage protection: Some instruments have a high voltage testing mode (such as applying a voltage of -10V to -50V when detecting LED reverse leakage current), and insulated gloves (with a withstand voltage level of ≥ 1000V) should be worn during operation to avoid contact with metal countertops; After the test is completed, turn off the high voltage output first and then disconnect the sample connection.
2、 Optical safety:
1. Strong light protection: LEDs may generate instantaneous strong light during pulse testing or high current driving (such as peak light intensity of blue LEDs reaching thousands of candela). Operators need to wear anti blue light goggles (filtering 400-500nm wavelength band), and are prohibited from looking directly at the testing window (especially ultraviolet LEDs (wavelength<400nm) or infrared LEDs (wavelength>700nm), as ultraviolet light can cause corneal burns and infrared light may cause thermal damage to the retina).
2. Detector protection: Optical probes (such as silicon photodiodes) are sensitive to strong light. Before testing, it is necessary to confirm that the probe range matches the LED light intensity (for example, when measuring 1000 lumens of LED, use probes with a range ≥ 2000 lumens) to avoid overexposure damage; During long-term testing, cover the non testing area with a light shield to reduce stray light interference.
3、 Mechanical and Environmental Safety:
1. Sample fixation: The LED sample should be firmly installed on the testing fixture (to avoid loosening, falling, and injuring the probe or personnel), and the micro LED (such as 0402 package) should be fixed with a dedicated suction nozzle or glue (metal fixtures should not be used to directly squeeze the chip).
2. Heat dissipation management: High power LEDs (such as 10W or more) generate a large amount of heat during testing (junction temperature may exceed 150 ℃). It is necessary to turn on the built-in heat dissipation fan (or external heat dissipation device) of the instrument to avoid high temperature causing aging of the instrument circuit (the lifespan of electronic components is halved for every 10 ℃ increase in temperature); Continuous testing is prohibited in enclosed spaces (air conditioning must be turned on to cool down when the ambient temperature is above 35 ℃).
3. Emergency response: The instrument is equipped with an emergency stop button (usually a large red button). In the event of smoke, abnormal noise, or abnormal light radiation, immediately press the emergency stop button and disconnect the main power supply; If the LED sample explodes (commonly caused by reverse breakdown or overcurrent), the fragments should be cleaned first (wearing cut resistant gloves), and the optical components should be checked for contamination (cleaning the probe with anhydrous ethanol).
4、 Operating standards:
Training and Qualification: Operators must undergo training from the instrument manufacturer (familiar with high-voltage circuits and optical probe principles), and are not allowed to modify instrument parameters without permission (such as adjusting the high-voltage output range without authorization).
Daily inspection: Before starting up, check whether the power cord is damaged, whether the testing fixture is loose, and whether the optical window is clean (wipe with lens paper, and do not use alcohol to wipe plastic parts); Regularly calibrate electrical sensors (such as voltmeters and ammeters) and optical detectors (at least once a year).
