For transmission towers, tilting, settling, displacement and other operating conditions can easily lead to various types of power accidents. In order to improve the safety and automation operation and maintenance level of transmission towers, a Beidou positioning and receiving device has been developed based on the operating characteristics of the multi-dimensional distributed Beidou positioning and receiving device adapted to the transmission towers. It can rely on positioning data to monitor abnormal states such as tower tilt, settlement, and displacement, and achieve remote unmanned operation and real-time warning of abnormal states of the towers.

Recently, the Beidou positioning online monitoring system was installed on the ± 800kV ultra-high voltage direct current Binjin wire tower, which can actually serve as an effective tool for online monitoring of the status of transmission towers.
