The newly developed intelligent monitoring system for the operation status of optical cables by the company has been officially put into operation.

The overhead optical cable located in the "three span" area of power communication is highly susceptible to external damage, often being scratched by passing vehicles due to insufficient distance from the cable to the ground, causing accidents such as wire breakage and pole collapse. A set of intelligent monitoring system for optical cable operation status has been developed in response to the current operation and maintenance status of power communication optical cables. Using ultrasonic ranging sensing technology, wireless communication, intelligent algorithms, and big data analysis methods, the system achieves 24-hour real-time monitoring and early warning of optical cable to ground distance, optical cable tilt, and environmental temperature and humidity, timely eliminating safety hazards of overhead optical cable lines.
