1、 System Overview
With the gradual deepening of the construction of a strong smart grid, power communication optical cable lines not only serve as the supporting foundation of the smart grid, but also the intelligent operation level of the optical cable lines themselves is an indispensable component of the smart grid. Communication towers located in areas with crossing, dense human activities, and natural disasters are highly susceptible to external damage. They are often scratched by passing vehicles due to insufficient distance between the optical cable and the ground, and even cause serious traffic accidents, thereby affecting the safe operation of the power grid.
The safe operation of power communication optical cables is an important guarantee for the normal operation of the power grid. Once an optical cable accident occurs, it will have a great impact on the production, scheduling and other business of the power grid. In various types of optical cable safety accidents, most of them are caused by external factors such as road construction, municipal construction, illegal excavation, barbaric construction, and illegal occupation, resulting in the optical cable not meeting the height limit requirements. But most of the hidden dangers that endanger power communication optical cables have a gradual process. When the optical cable is damaged by external forces, measures can be taken through timely warning to effectively prevent or avoid accidents.
Due to the wide coverage of power communication optical cables and the large number of optical cables spanning more complex natural environments such as urban roads, mountains, rivers, etc., relying on manpower to complete the inspection of a large number of optical cable lines results in low work efficiency. Therefore, it is necessary to study online intelligent monitoring technology for the operation status of power communication optical cables, in order to provide technical support for the safe and stable operation of power communication optical cables.
2、 Management status quo
In the context of rapid development of smart grids, the distribution of communication optical cable lines is becoming increasingly widespread. Due to the characteristics of wide coverage, long lines, high altitude, wilderness, and crossing two heights, power communication optical cable lines are highly susceptible to external damage. The rapid growth of optical cable lines has brought more and more inspection and maintenance work to line operation and maintenance personnel, but observation and inspection of dangerous points in areas such as cross crossings, dense personnel activities, and natural disasters are essential.
At present, the operation and maintenance of power communication optical cable lines mainly rely on manual intermittent inspections, with a general inspection cycle of one month. During the non inspection period, the operating status defects such as ground distance, temperature and humidity, and tilt of the optical cable lines are unknown, which poses a huge safety hazard for the safe operation of power communication optical cables. In recent years, the number of power communication fiber optic cable accidents has been increasing year by year, indicating that manual inspection methods can no longer meet the existing safety needs.
3、 System Introduction
The intelligent monitoring system for optical cable operation status utilizes optoelectronic sensing technology, remote wireless communication, intelligent algorithms, and data analysis to monitor and remotely collect, store, and analyze information such as meteorological conditions, ground distance, and tilt of communication optical cable lines in real time. It achieves real-time warning of abnormal characteristic quantities, historical data trend analysis, and remote real-time monitoring of optical cable line operation status, thereby helping operation and maintenance management personnel to fully grasp the operation status and influencing factors of special sections of optical cable lines in real time, and more scientifically formulate operation and maintenance strategies and technical transformation plans.
The intelligent monitoring system for the operation status of optical cables consists of two parts: a front-end induction monitoring device (communication system) and a back-end display control system.
