Daily maintenance points and secrets to extending the service life of liquid flow meters
Date: 2025-03-18Read: 4
The daily maintenance points and secrets to extending the service life of liquid flow meters mainly include the following aspects:
1. Daily inspection:
Appearance inspection: Regularly inspect the appearance of the flowmeter, including the meter head, sensors, connecting pipes, and other parts, to check for damage, rust, leaks, and other conditions. If any problems are found, they should be dealt with promptly.
Liquid level inspection of working tank: For liquid flow meters with working tanks, it is necessary to regularly check the liquid level of the working tank to ensure that the liquid level is within the normal range and avoid affecting measurement accuracy due to insufficient or excessive liquid level.
Electrical connection inspection: Check whether the connection between the power line and signal line is firm and reliable, whether there is looseness, damage, etc., to prevent flowmeter failure caused by electrical problems.
2. Cleaning and maintenance:
Regular cleaning: Based on the nature of the liquid and the usage environment, regularly clean the flowmeter to remove impurities such as dirt and sediment. Tools such as compressed air, paint brushes, and cleaning cloths can be used to remove surface dirt; If more thorough cleaning is needed, special cleaning agents and tools can be used.
Sensor cleaning: Sensors are critical components of flow meters and are susceptible to dirt, sediment, and other contaminants. Therefore, the sensor surface should be regularly cleaned to ensure accurate measurement and smooth flow.
Filter maintenance: If a filter is installed in front of the flowmeter, it should be cleaned or replaced regularly to prevent impurities from entering the flowmeter.
3. Calibration verification:
Regular calibration: To ensure the accuracy and reliability of the flowmeter, it should be calibrated regularly according to the manufacturer's recommendations or relevant standards. Use standard fluids or equipment for calibration, especially in applications that require high measurement accuracy.
Comparative verification: In daily use, the measured values of liquid flow meters can be regularly compared with the actual values. If significant deviations are found, timely verification and adjustment should be carried out.
4. Component replacement:
Replacement of vulnerable parts: Timely replace aging and worn seals, gaskets, and other vulnerable parts to ensure the sealing performance of the flowmeter and prevent leakage.
Repair and replacement of faulty components: For faulty components such as sensors, impellers, etc., timely repair or replacement should be carried out to restore the normal performance of the flowmeter.
5. Environmental protection:
Installation location selection: Install the liquid flowmeter in a dry, well ventilated, and non corrosive gas environment, avoiding direct sunlight and high temperature, humid environments to prevent damage to the instrument.
Protective measures taken: Flow meters used in cold environments should be insulated to prevent icing; In environments with vibration sources, vibration reduction measures should be taken, such as adding rubber pads or damping springs.
6. Recording and monitoring:
Operation data recording: Establish an operation record file for the flowmeter, recording the time, content, replaced parts, and other information of each maintenance, as well as any abnormal situations during daily operation, in order to promptly detect problems and take measures.
Performance monitoring and evaluation: Regularly monitor and evaluate the performance of the flowmeter, analyze the trend of changes in its stability, accuracy, and other indicators, predict possible failures in advance, and develop corresponding preventive measures.
