Fluorine gas is a light yellow gas with a particularly unpleasant odor. In industry, fluorine gas can be used as an oxidant for rocket fuel, a raw material for halogenated fluorine, a refrigerant, plasma etching, etc. Fluorine gas has strong oxidizing properties and can irritate the eyes, skin, and respiratory mucosa. Below, I will share with you the specifications for setting up fluorine gas alarms.
Specification for Setting Fluorine Gas Alarm Devices
1. The specific gravity of fluorine gas is greater than that of air, so the probe part of the fluorine gas alarm should be installed facing downwards at a distance of (30-60) cm from the ground. The main unit of the fluorine gas alarm controller should be installed at a distance of 1.3m-1.5m from the ground. The controller host should be placed in a place where it can be heard and seen normally. When the host issues an alarm, security measures can be taken in a timely manner.
2. There is a strong magnetic field around, and high or low temperature and humidity can affect the final measurement results. Before installing the probe, it is necessary to make preliminary preparations and check whether the surrounding environment is suitable for installing the probe; It is necessary to observe whether the leakage state of the leakage point is micro leakage or spray. If it is a minor leak, the probe needs to be installed near the leak point. If it is spray, it needs to be far away from the leakage point.
3. Fluorine gas alarm is a toxic gas alarm. The detection radius of the toxic gas alarm probe is about 2 meters, and the probe part is very fragile. The gas sensor in the probe is a very important gas detection component. Rare metals such as palladium. During installation, care should be taken to avoid damaging the probe. The air inlet of the probe may be blocked if it is exposed to the measured position for a long time. Regularly wipe the air inlet to avoid affecting the final measurement results.
