The hazards of high supercooling of condensed water

The hazards of high supercooling of condensed water

1、 Noun Explanation

The subcooling degree of condensate refers to the difference between the saturated water temperature under exhaust pressure and the actual temperature of condensate.

2、 The supercooling of condensed water poses a great danger

1. Excessive supercooling of condensed water can increase the amount of heat required for reheating, thereby reducing the thermal economy of the system; In addition, it will also increase the dissolved oxygen content of condensed water, causing oxygen corrosion of low-pressure equipment and pipelines, and reducing the safety and reliability of equipment.

2. Affects the thermal economy of power plants, as the low temperature of condensed water requires more extraction steam for heating in the deaerator. In a thermal system without water regeneration, for every 7 ℃ of condensate cooling, the thermal economy of the power plant is reduced by 1%.

3. The increase in subcooling of condensate directly affects the dissolved oxygen in the condensate of the unit.

4. According to the regulations of power technology supervision, ultra supercritical steam turbine generator units are required to have a dissolved oxygen content in the condensate water of less than 30ug/L. Excessive oxygen content in the condensate water can cause harm to the thermal equipment of the unit and affect its economic operation.

5. An experiment conducted by a certain power plant showed that by controlling the temperature of the circulating water, when the supercooling degree of the condensate was reduced from 2.8 ℃ to 0.55 ℃, the dissolved oxygen in the condensate decreased from 51.48ug/L to 21.12ug/L. It can be seen that the degree of supercooling is closely related to the dissolved oxygen in the condensed water. That is to say, if the degree of supercooling of the condensed water in the condenser is controlled within 1 ℃, the dissolved oxygen in the condensed water is basically qualified.

3、 Control measures for high subcooling of condensed water

The degree of supercooling of condensed water is related to factors such as the structure, installation, and operation of the condenser. The parts that involve monitoring by operating personnel include:

① Vacuum section: Ensure the tightness of the vacuum section, including all pipelines and valves of the negative pressure system, and perform leak detection and leak prevention treatment; Ensure appropriate sealing water flow rate of the condensate pump to prevent air leakage; Maintain appropriate shaft seal pressure to prevent air leakage from the shaft seal and affect the vacuum of the condenser.
② Circulating cooling water section: Adjust the appropriate flow rate and temperature of circulating cooling water, especially during winter to prevent excessive cooling caused by low circulating water temperature.
