Common faults and maintenance of target flowmeter
1. Abnormal flow reading
Possible reasons: target plate deformation/scaling, sensor zero drift, medium density changes
Repair steps:
Close the valve and drain the pipeline, disassemble the target plate for cleaning or replacement (pay attention to the corrosion resistance of the material)
Perform zero calibration: Reset the sensor signal according to the instructions in the air traffic control state
Check if the medium density parameters match the factory settings
2. No signal output
Key points of investigation:
Is the power supply line normal (standard voltage 24VDC)
Is the signal line shielding layer damaged (to avoid electromagnetic interference)
Is the sensor diaphragm broken (needs to be returned to the factory for repair)
2、 Key points for maintenance of Bacher trough (open channel)
1. Increased measurement error
Solution:
Clean up the silt and debris in the tank (especially in the throat area)
Check the scaling condition of the water level gauge probe and wipe the ultrasonic/piezoelectric sensor with a soft cloth
Calibration of water level flow curve (requires professional hydrological measurement tools)
2. Structural damage
Repair suggestion:
Cracks in concrete tanks can be filled with epoxy resin
Metal tank rust needs to be polished and sprayed with anti rust coating
3、 General Maintenance Safety Specification
Preparation before operation:
Be sure to cut off the power/close the upstream valve
Protective equipment (acid and alkali resistant gloves, goggles) should be worn for corrosive media
Tool selection:
Avoid using magnetic tools to repair electromagnetic flow meters
Torque wrench installation target plate to prevent excessive tightening
4、 Professional support suggestions
If the following problems still exist after self repair, it is recommended to contact the equipment manufacturer:
The force value on the target board exceeds 150% of the range, causing damage to the sensor
The throat size of the Bacher groove has been deformed by 5% due to erosion, exceeding the original design
Need to recalibrate instruments with national second level accuracy or above
Please provide a photo or model of the equipment nameplate to further match the specific maintenance manual.
