In practical application scenarios, thermal resistance remote transmission bimetallic thermometers are used in industrial production sites, where many environments have harsh conditions such as high temperature, high pressure, and corrosiveness. Traditional temperature measurement instruments may not be able to meet the requirements. It can directly measure the temperature of liquid, vapor, gas media and solid surfaces in various production processes, with a measurement range usually between -40 ℃ and+600 ℃, which can meet the needs of most industrial environments. For example, in chemical production, temperature monitoring inside the reaction vessel is crucial. It can accurately transmit temperature signals to the control room, and operators can real-time grasp the temperature situation inside the reaction vessel without physically visiting the site, ensuring the safety and stability of the production process. At the same time, at the installation location on site, the pointer indication function of the bimetallic thermometer allows on-site staff to intuitively see the temperature value, facilitating on-site inspection and preliminary judgment of equipment operation status.
In terms of structural design, the thermocouple remote transmission bimetallic thermometer also has rationality and practicality. It generally consists of temperature measuring probes, connecting wires, and display devices. Temperature probes are usually made of metal materials, which have good corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance, and can adapt to harsh working environments. The connecting wire is responsible for transmitting the signal of the thermal resistor to a remote display device or control system. In order to ensure the accuracy and stability of signal transmission, shielded cables are usually used for the wire to reduce external interference. The display device can be a regular pointer instrument or a digital instrument, which can clearly display temperature values and can be customized according to actual needs, such as adding alarm functions, transmission functions, etc.
In addition, the installation and maintenance of thermocouple remote transmission bimetallic thermometers are relatively simple. In terms of installation, it can choose suitable installation methods according to different measurement needs, such as threaded connections, flange connections, etc., and can be easily installed on various equipment and pipelines. In terms of maintenance, due to its simple structure, the main components are not easily damaged and only require regular inspection and calibration to ensure long-term stable operation. Moreover, if a part of the thermistor or bimetallic thermometer malfunctions, it can be easily replaced, reducing maintenance costs and downtime.
Verification method for thermocouple remote transmission bimetallic thermometer:
1. Appearance inspection
-Mechanical damage inspection: Carefully inspect the shell, junction box, and other parts of the thermometer to ensure that there are no cracks, damages, deformations, or other mechanical damages. For the wires in the remote transmission section, check for signs of insulation damage, open circuit, or short circuit.
-Identification clarity check: Confirm that the dial, label, model, measurement range, accuracy level, and other information of the thermometer are clear and distinguishable, and comply with relevant standard requirements.
-Assembly quality inspection: Check whether the assembly of each component of the thermometer is firm, such as whether the connection between the temperature sensing element and the protective sleeve is tight, and whether the pointer and dial fit smoothly.
2. Verification of indication error
-Preparation work: Select a suitable constant temperature bath or high and low temperature test chamber as the calibration environment based on the measurement range of the thermometer. At the same time, prepare standard thermometers (such as second-class standard mercury thermometers or high-precision digital thermometers) as reference standards, whose measurement range should cover the measurement range of the tested thermometer, and their accuracy should be at least one level higher than that of the tested thermometer.
-Selection of calibration points: Generally, according to the principle of uniform distribution, at least 5 calibration points are selected within the measurement range of the thermometer, including the upper limit, lower limit, and several main temperature points in the middle. For special purpose thermometers, additional calibration points can be added according to actual usage.
-Verification process: Place the thermocouple remote transmission bimetallic thermometer and the standard thermometer together in a constant temperature bath or test chamber, so that they are in the same temperature environment. After the temperature stabilizes, read the readings of the tested thermometer and the standard thermometer, record the data, and calculate the difference between the two, which is the indication error. Repeat the above steps to measure each calibration point.
3. Repetitive testing
-Method: Measure the thermometer multiple times (generally not less than 3 times) at the designated calibration point, and restore the temperature to its initial state before each measurement.
4. Thermal resistance signal verification
-Resistance measurement: Use high-precision resistance measuring instruments (such as digital multimeters or specialized resistance measuring instruments) to measure the resistance value of thermal resistance at a specified temperature point. Compare the measured value with the scale or characteristic equation of the thermal resistance to calculate the resistance error.
-Signal output accuracy verification: For thermal resistance thermometers with remote signal output function, the accuracy of their signal output needs to be checked. By simulating different temperature values, observe whether the electrical signals output by the thermometer (such as current signals or voltage signals) comply with the corresponding standards and regulations.
