How to prevent corrosion of pressure transmitters

The application of pressure transmitters in industry is common, but generally requires corrosion-resistant pressure transmitters. The joints and chambers are made of imported stainless steel and processed as a whole. The stainless steel material used as the body of the pressure transmitter has high corrosion resistance and good attenuation performance, and can monitor any medium compatible with 316L. Below are some anti-corrosion techniques.

Firstly, it is necessary to determine whether the tested medium is compatible with 316L. Both 316 and 317L alloys did not show any corrosion during the 100 hour 5% salt spray test. Secondly, when selecting transmitter products, it is important to know whether the medium has an impact on the instrument. By selecting corrosion-resistant materials for the projectile, the requirements for use can be met.

Adopting isolation method, there are molybdenum titanium and tantalum sheets in front of the pressure transmitter, and methyl silicone oil is used to transmit pressure between the diaphragm and the ballistic tube. The maximum small range can reach 0-100kPa. If the diaphragm material is not corrosion-resistant, a layer of F46 diaphragm can be added, but the sensitivity of the instrument is reduced. F46 can also be directly used as the isolation diaphragm, and fluorine oil can be used as the transmission fluid to achieve dual isolation.

Once it is found that the transmitter is incompatible with the medium during use, it must be replaced immediately. For some special media, special materials or structures can be used for measurement.
