Target flowmeter is composed of measuring tube, target plate, sensing element and integration part. It has anti-interference and anti impurity performance, as well as lightweight and reliable characteristics, and is widely used in fields such as petrochemicals, energy and environmental protection. However, due to various reasons in use, it can lead to various problems. How to determine and solve them is something that our department must understand. Below is a brief introduction to some of the problems and their solutions.

When there is no medium passing through the pipeline, the flow meter displays an instantaneous flow rate that is not zero.

Analysis reason: (1) It may be due to inconsistent horizontal alignment before and after installing the flowmeter, resulting in axial horizontal force between the target plate and the target rod due to tilting, leading to instantaneous flow.

(2) The flowmeter operates for a long time, causing slight changes in the internal stress release of its sensor.

(3) Severe overload during installation or operation causes zero drift.

(4) Target flowmeter sensor is damp or has insufficient insulation strength

(5) There are foreign objects on the target or target rod

Solution: Install and clean according to the product manual requirements, and perform zero point calibration on the target flowmeter. For sensors that are damp, they should be dried with a hair dryer before operation.
