Four factors that cannot be ignored when choosing a carbon monoxide detector
Date: 2012-05-28Read: 11

Carbon monoxide detectorSmall in size and easy to operate, but in order to make the gas detector work better, the following four points should not be ignored during use:
*Pay attention to the lifespan of various sensors: Generally speaking, in portable instruments, the lifespan of LEL sensors can be used for about three years; The lifespan of the photoionization detector is four years or longer; The lifespan of electrochemical specific gas sensors is generally one to two years;Carbon monoxide detectorThe lifespan of the sensor is approximately one year. The lifespan of electrochemical sensors depends on the drying of the electrolyte, so if they are not used for a long time, sealing them in a lower temperature environment can extend their service life to a certain extent. Fixed instruments have a relatively large volume and longer sensor lifespan.
Secondly, pay attention to regular calibration and testing: Toxic and harmful gas detectors, like other analytical and testing instruments, are measured using relative comparison methods. Therefore, zero calibration of the instrument at any time and regular calibration of the instrument are essential to ensure accurate measurement.
Thirdly, pay attention to the concentration measurement range of the detection instrument:Carbon monoxide detectorIt has a fixed detection range. Only by completing the measurement within its measuring range can the instrument ensure accurate measurement.
Fourth, pay attention to the detection interference between different sensors: in general, each gas detector sensor corresponds to a specific detection gas, so when selecting a gas sensor, you should try to understand the detection interference of other gases on the sensor.
