Detection of toxic substance p-nitroaniline in workplace air by high-performance liquid chromatography
P-nitroaniline, yellow needle shaped crystals, highly toxic, easily sublimated. Slightly soluble in cold water, soluble in boiling water, ethanol, benzene, and acid solutions. Widely used as an important intermediate in the dye industry, it can also be used as an intermediate for pesticides and veterinary drugs. In the pharmaceutical industry, it can be used to produce chloramphenicol, carbapenem, nitrodiazepam, quinoline urea sulfate, etc. It can also be used for the production of p-phenylenediamine, antioxidants, and preservatives. Nitroaniline is highly toxic and can cause even stronger blood toxicity than aniline. The method used for the detection of p-nitroaniline in occupational health is as follows: the vapor phase of p-nitroaniline in the air is collected using silica gel, desorbed with methanol, and then sampled. It is separated by a C18 liquid chromatography column and detected by a UV detector, with qualitative retention time and quantitative peak area or peak height.
This article uses PerkinElmer's LC 300 high-performance liquid chromatography to establish a detection method for workplace air toxic substances Part 143- nitroaniline. This method has good linearity, separation and repeatability, fast analysis speed, and meets daily detection needs.
