Benzoic acid and sodium benzoate are commonly used to preserve high acid fruits, jams, beverage syrups, and other acidic foods. Sorbic acid and potassium sorbate are preservatives used internationally, which have inhibitory effects on molds, yeasts and many aerobic bacteria, and are widely used in the anti-corrosion of cheese products, yogurt and other cheese products, bread Dim sum products, beverages, fruit juice, jam, Pickled vegetables and fish products. Saccharin sodium, also known as sodium phthalate sulfonimide, is the earliest synthetic non nutritive sweetener, with a sweetness of 200~500 times that of sucrose. It is mainly used in Pickled vegetables, fruit juice, candied fruits, and prepared wine. Benzoic acid, sorbic acid, and sodium saccharin are commonly used preservatives and sweeteners in food, and are one of the routine testing items in food.
This article uses PerkinElmer's new liquid chromatography LC 300 to simultaneously detect benzoic acid, sorbic acid, and sodium saccharin in food, establishing an accurate, reliable, and highly sensitive detection method.
This article establishes an analytical method for benzoic acid, sorbic acid, and sodium saccharin in food using PerkinElmer's LC 300 high-performance liquid chromatography. The experimental results showed that the use of PerkinElmer's LC 300 high-performance liquid chromatography for the analysis of benzoic acid, sorbic acid, and sodium saccharin exhibited good sensitivity, excellent linearity, and repeatability. The detection requirements of this project also demonstrated the excellent stability and repeatability of LC 300.
