Boko Instrument Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Boko Instrument") has completed the installation and commissioning of a hydrological monitoring station for a key reservoir in Heilongjiang and officially put it into use. This monitoring station is customized and developed for the environmental characteristics of severe cold, thick ice layer, and large water level fluctuations in high latitude northern regions. It can achieve 24-hour continuous monitoring of core hydrological parameters such as water level, flow rate, ice layer thickness, and water temperature, providing accurate data support for reservoir flood control scheduling, water resource management, and safe operation and maintenance during ice periods.

The hydrological monitoring system used this time adopts the BK-SW200 integrated hydrological monitoring terminal independently developed by Boko Instruments, which integrates multiple types of highly adaptable sensors. Among them, the water level monitoring adopts an input pressure sensor with a range covering 0-30 meters and an accuracy of ± 0.5cm. It is equipped with an anti icing probe design, which can penetrate 1 meter thick ice layer in winter to accurately capture water level changes and solve the "blind spot" of winter water level monitoring in northern reservoirs; The flow sensor is based on the principle of ultrasonic Doppler, which does not need to disrupt the flow state of the water body. It can measure the flow velocity in real time and automatically convert the flow rate, and is suitable for different hydrological scenarios during the high and low water periods of the reservoir; The ice thickness sensor uses dual frequency detection technology, with a range of 0-2 meters and an accuracy of ± 2cm, to dynamically track the growth and melting process of winter ice layers, providing data reference for safe operation of ice reservoirs.

In response to the severe low temperatures (as low as -38 ℃) and heavy snowfall in winter in Heilongjiang, special optimizations have been made to the equipment's protection and power supply. The main body of the monitoring station is made of 316 stainless steel material, coated with anti-corrosion and antifreeze coatings on the surface, and equipped with a constant temperature heating module inside. It automatically starts when the ambient temperature is below -20 ℃ to ensure stable operation of the circuit; The power supply system adopts a combination of "60W high-efficiency solar panels+200Ah low-temperature lithium iron phosphate batteries", combined with an intelligent charge and discharge management system. In winter, the daily average sunshine of 2.5 hours can meet the power consumption of the whole day, and it can still work normally for 10 consecutive days of snowfall, avoiding low-temperature power supply interruption.

In terms of data transmission, the system supports 4G+Beidou dual-mode communication. The network coverage area along the reservoir can upload data in real-time within 3 seconds through 4G, and remote reservoir areas can automatically switch to Beidou satellite transmission to ensure uninterrupted data transmission; The supporting Boko instrument hydrological management platform can generate water level change curves, flow trend reports, and preset warning thresholds such as flood control limit water level and safe ice thickness. When the data exceeds the standard, it will immediately push SMS and platform warnings to the reservoir management department, helping to respond quickly.

The head of the reservoir management department stated that after the monitoring station is put into use, it will fill the gap in winter hydrological monitoring of the reservoir and enhance the scientific nature of scheduling decisions. The project leader of Boko Instrument introduced that they will provide quarterly sensor calibration, annual equipment maintenance and other operation and maintenance services to ensure the long-term stable operation of the monitoring station and contribute technical strength to the hydrological security of the Heilongjiang River Basin.
