【 BK-WQX2 】 Shandong Boke Instrument is customer-centric, service-oriented, and driven by innovation.

As the core equipment for wind field monitoring, the type selection of anemometer needs to be closely combined with the requirements and characteristics of the application scenario. At present, the mainstream wind speed and direction indicators on the market include various types such as mechanical, ultrasonic, and hot wire. Different types of products have significant differences in measurement principles, performance parameters, and applicable environments. Accurate matching of types is necessary to ensure the reliability and practicality of monitoring data.

Mechanical anemometers are still widely used in basic monitoring scenarios due to their simple structure and affordable price. The wind speed measurement adopts a cup or propeller structure, and the wind direction measurement adopts a wind vane with a conductive slip ring design, which can meet the needs of conventional wind speed and direction monitoring. The price is mostly between several hundred to several thousand yuan. This type of product is suitable for scenarios such as agricultural greenhouse ventilation monitoring and basic observation of small weather stations, but it has mechanical wear and tear issues and a relatively short service life. It usually requires annual maintenance and calibration, and is not suitable for harsh environments with long-term unmanned operation.

The ultrasonic anemometer is a medium type, and its design without mechanical rotating parts gives it many advantages. It calculates wind speed and direction through the time difference of ultrasonic propagation, with high measurement accuracy and fast response speed. The wind speed accuracy can reach ± 0.1m/s, the wind direction accuracy is ± 1 °, and it can accurately capture instantaneous changes such as gusts and wind shear; At the same time, it has good environmental adaptability, with a working temperature range covering -40 ℃ to 85 ℃ and a protection level of up to IP67. It can operate stably for a long time in harsh environments such as plateaus, deserts, and coastal areas. This type of product is suitable for wind power development, aviation support, high-precision meteorological observation and other scenarios, with prices ranging from several thousand to tens of thousands of yuan. Although the initial procurement cost is high, the later maintenance cost is low, and the comprehensive cost-effectiveness is outstanding.

The hot wire anemometer is mainly suitable for special monitoring scenarios with low wind speed and high precision. It uses the heat dissipation principle of a hot wire sensor to measure wind speed, and can accurately measure low wind speeds above 0.01m/s, suitable for laboratory wind tunnel testing, indoor ventilation monitoring and other scenarios. However, this type of product is sensitive to environmental humidity and dust, and is easily affected by pollution, making it unsuitable for use in complex outdoor environments.

When selecting, in addition to paying attention to the differences in types, it is also necessary to clarify the core requirement parameters. For example, the measurement range needs to match the wind speed range of the scene, the response speed needs to meet the dynamic monitoring requirements, and the power supply method needs to be adapted to the on-site energy conditions. At the same time, based on the comprehensive judgment of budget and long-term usage costs, mechanical products are selected for basic scenarios, ultrasonic products are selected for high-precision and long-term monitoring scenarios, and hot wire products are selected for low wind speed special scenarios.
