Classification of Instrument and Meter Market Situation

According to the new national economic classification standard, the instrumentation industry has 20 subcategories, generally classified by application or technology. But sometimes it is difficult to distinguish between technical classification and application classification, so these 20 complex classifications can also be simply summarized into 4 categories.

1、 Industrial automation instrumentation and control systems. This is commonly referred to as PA or FA in foreign countries. PA stands for Process Automation, while FA stands for Factory Automation. The instruments and control systems used in process automation and factory automation belong to this category, and some parts of analytical instruments and electrical instruments also belong to this category.

2、 Scientific testing instruments. It refers to analytical instruments, testing machines, optical instruments, surveying instruments, and so on. *Class instruments and meters are used on the production line and are connected to the production line. And scientific testing instruments are independent, they are only used to bring samples to the laboratory during experiments. Therefore, it is easy to distinguish from class *.

3、 Scientific testing instruments. This mainly refers to the supply of instruments and other general instruments. The national standard for supply instruments was only introduced two years ago, and we come into contact with many of them in our daily lives, such as household electricity meters, gas meters, etc. We also classify some commonly used instruments into this category, such as scales, medical equipment, timing instruments, and some commonly used optical instruments.

4、 Instruments and meters. This type of instrument is actually specifically designed for a certain field, such as automotive and motorcycle instruments, which rise rapidly. This gives rise to automotive instruments, motorcycle instruments, and so on, and can also be extended to fields such as agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and fishing.
