How can the on load switch characteristic tester ensure measurement accuracy?
Date: 2025-03-11Read: 9

The on load switch characteristic tester can ensure measurement accuracy by starting from the following aspects:

The quality and calibration of the instrument itself

Select high-precision components

In the design and manufacturing process of the tester, key components such as high-precision sensors, signal conditioning circuits, and data acquisition chips are selected. For example, using voltage and current sensors with high resolution and good linearity can more accurately capture the voltage and current change signals during the on load switch action process, laying the foundation for precise measurement.

Strict factory calibration

The manufacturer will use a standard signal source and a standard on load switch device with known parameters to comprehensively calibrate the tester. In the calibration process, adjust various parameters of the instrument to make its measurement results highly consistent with the standard values. Moreover, the calibration process will be strictly carried out in accordance with relevant standards and specifications, and detailed calibration data will be recorded, which can serve as the basis for subsequent quality traceability and accuracy verification.

Regular self calibration function

The tester has a regular automatic calibration function. The instrument is equipped with a standard signal generation module that can generate standard signals with known parameters at regular intervals. It can detect and calibrate its own measurement circuit, timely detect and correct measurement errors caused by environmental changes, device aging, and other factors, ensuring that the instrument is always in a high-precision working state.

Test environment control

Stable temperature and humidity

The changes in temperature and humidity can affect the performance of electronic components, thereby affecting measurement accuracy. Therefore, the tester should be placed in an environment with relatively stable temperature and humidity, and it is generally recommended to control the temperature within(20 ± 5) ℃, relative humidity between 40% and 60%. For some testing scenarios with high environmental requirements, specialized constant temperature and humidity equipment can also be equipped to ensure the stability of the testing environment.

Reduce electromagnetic interference

During the operation of the on load switch, strong electromagnetic signals are generated, and there may also be electromagnetic interference from other electrical equipment in the surrounding environment. To reduce the impact of electromagnetic interference on measurement accuracy, the tester should have good electromagnetic shielding performance, use a metal shell, and be reliably grounded. In addition, at the testing site, efforts should be made to stay away from strong electromagnetic interference sources such as large motors and transformers, or to take shielding measures, such as using shielded cables to transmit signals.

Correct testing methods and operations

Standardize wiring

The correctness of wiring directly affects the accuracy of measurement results. When conducting on load switch characteristic testing, it is necessary to strictly follow the user manual and wiring diagram of the tester for wiring. Ensure that the polarity of the voltage and current sensors is correct, the signal transmission lines are firmly connected, and avoid problems such as virtual connections and short circuits, to prevent the introduction of additional measurement errors.

Appropriate sampling frequency

Select the appropriate sampling frequency based on the operating characteristics and testing requirements of the on load switch. If the sampling frequency is too low, some important transient signals may be missed, resulting in incomplete or inaccurate measurement results; If the sampling frequency is too high, it will increase the amount of data and processing burden. Generally speaking, the sampling frequency should be set reasonably based on factors such as the opening and closing time of the on load switch, the duration of the transition process, etc., to ensure accurate capture of various parameter changes during the switch action process.

Take the average of multiple measurements

In order to reduce the impact of random errors on measurement accuracy, if conditions permit, multiple measurements of the characteristic parameters of the same on load switch can be taken, and the average of these measurements can be taken as the final result. Multiple measurements can cover different working states and environmental conditions, making the measurement results more reliable and stable.

Data Processing and Analysis

Algorithm correction

The tester can use data processing algorithms to process and analyze the collected signals, in order to eliminate noise interference, compensate for nonlinear errors, etc. For example, using digital filtering algorithms can effectively remove high-frequency noise from signals and improve their purity; By establishing precise mathematical models to correct measurement data, errors caused by the characteristics of the instrument itself and external environmental influences can be compensated for, further improving measurement accuracy.

Result verification and comparison

Compare and verify the measurement results of the tester with known standard values or the measurement results of other high-precision measuring equipment. If the deviation between the two is within the allowable range, it indicates that the measurement accuracy of the tester meets the requirements; If the deviation is significant, it is necessary to further check whether there are any problems with the working status, testing methods, and wiring of the instrument, and make timely adjustments and corrections
