Some fungal toxins can cause food poisoning. Currently, rapid detection of aflatoxin B1, vomitoxin, and other toxins using colloidal gold has been achieved, and results can be obtained within 30 minutes, which is suitable for on-site screening needs.

1、 Detection principle: Competitive colloidal gold immunochromatography

The core of the test strip card is based on immune competition response:

Drop the liquid to be tested into the sample well of the test strip card, and the fungal toxins in the detection liquid will bind with the gold labeled antibody on the gold labeled pad, forming a "toxin gold labeled antibody complex";

If the concentration of toxins in the detection solutionExceeding the detection limitThe gold conjugate antibody will be fully bound and cannot bind to the T line (detection line) on the test strip. If there is no visible T line on the test strip, it is judged asPositive result(Warning of toxin exceeding the standard);

If the toxin concentrationBelow the detection limitUnbound gold labeled antibodies will bind to the T line, forming a visible T line, which is determined asNegative result(Hint that the toxin has not exceeded the limit).

2、 Key detection limit indicators

Aflatoxin B1: detection limit of 5ng/mL;

Vomit toxin: detection limit is 100ng/mL.

This method is easy to operate, time-consuming, and suitable for on-site preliminary screening in scenarios such as grain and feed. Suspected positive samples need to be further sent to the laboratory for confirmation.
