Ultrasonic flowmeter is a non-contact, high-precision flow measurement instrument widely used in fields such as water, sewage, chemical, petroleum, etc. To ensure its long-term stable operation, regular maintenance and upkeep are necessary. The following are detailed maintenance precautions and common troubleshooting solutions.
1) Sensor inspection
Check installation status:
Ensure that the sensor is tightly attached to the pipeline without looseness or offset (to avoid signal attenuation caused by vibration).
Check if the coupling agent (such as silicone grease) has dried up and reapply if necessary to ensure the efficiency of ultrasonic signal transmission.
Clean the surface of the sensor:
Wipe the sensor surface with a soft cloth and alcohol to remove oil, scale, or sediment (especially when measuring wastewater).
Avoid scratching with hard objects to prevent damage to the sensor chip.
2) Pipeline status inspection
Ensure that the pipeline flows fully and avoid interference from bubbles or impurities (empty or half pipes can cause measurement errors).
Regularly check the scaling situation on the inner wall of the pipeline, and clean it if it is severely scaled (affecting the ultrasonic propagation path).
