Vortex flowmeter is mainly used for flow measurement of industrial pipeline media fluids, such as gases, liquids, vapors, and other media. Its characteristics are small pressure loss, large range, high accuracy, and almost unaffected by parameters such as fluid density, pressure, temperature, viscosity, etc. when measuring volumetric flow rate under working conditions. No movable mechanical parts, therefore high reliability and low maintenance. The instrument parameters can remain stable for a long time. The vortex flowmeter adopts a piezoelectric stress sensor with high reliability and can operate within a temperature range of -20 ℃ to+250 ℃. It has both analog standard signals and digital pulse signal outputs, making it easy to use in conjunction with digital systems such as computers. It is a relatively advanced and ideal measuring instrument.
Principle of turbine flowmeter: When fluid flows through the sensor housing, due to the angle between the blades of the impeller and the flow direction, the impulse of the fluid causes the blades to have a rotational torque. After overcoming the friction torque and fluid resistance, the blades rotate. After the torque is balanced, the speed is stable. Under certain conditions, the speed is proportional to the flow rate. Due to the magnetic conductivity of the blades, they are in the magnetic field of the signal detector (composed of * magnetic steel and coils). The rotating blades cut the magnetic field lines, periodically changing the magnetic flux of the coil, so that electrical pulse signals are induced at both ends of the coil. This signal is amplified and shaped by an amplifier to form a continuous rectangular pulse wave with a certain amplitude, which can be transmitted to the display instrument remotely to display the instantaneous flow rate and cumulative amount of the fluid.
Simply put, a turbine flowmeter is a volumetric flowmeter that generates pulse current from changes in magnetic flux, while a vortex flowmeter measures flow rate by detecting frequency; Therefore, what we usually see more commonly are liquid turbine flow meters and so on.
