Inlet flow measurement:
Purpose: To monitor the total water volume entering the sewage treatment plant, which is the basic data for calculating treatment load, evaluating operational efficiency, and conducting cost accounting (such as charging based on water volume).
Characteristics: High flow rate, containing various impurities. Electromagnetic flow meters with large diameter and wear-resistant lining (such as polyurethane) are usually selected.
Discharge flow measurement:
Purpose: To monitor the amount of water that meets the standards for discharge or reuse after processing, which is a key data regulated by environmental protection departments and used to calculate the total amount of pollutants removed and discharged.
Characteristic: The water quality is relatively good, but possible suspended solids still need to be considered. High precision and reliability are required, often used in conjunction with online water quality analyzers such as COD and ammonia nitrogen.
Measurement of sludge reflux flow rate:
Purpose: Accurately controlling the amount of activated sludge flowing back from the secondary sedimentation tank to the biological reaction tank (such as A ²/O, oxidation ditch) is key to maintaining the sludge concentration (MLSS) and treatment efficiency of the biochemical system.
Characteristics: The medium is high concentration activated sludge, with high viscosity and strong abrasion resistance. Wear resistant lining and sturdy electrodes are required.
Measurement of residual sludge discharge flow rate:
Purpose: To monitor the amount of remaining sludge discharged from the system, for controlling sludge age and maintaining system balance.
Characteristics: High sludge concentration and poor fluidity. High requirements are placed on the wear resistance and anti clogging ability of flow meters.
Measurement of reflux flow rate of mixed solution (in denitrification and phosphorus removal process):
Purpose: To control the flow rate of the mixed solution from the aerobic tank back to the anoxic tank, in order to provide the nitrate nitrogen required for denitrification.
Characteristics: The medium is a mixture containing activated sludge.
Chemical dosing flow measurement:
Purpose: In dosing systems (such as PAC phosphorus removal, PAM coagulation aid, pH adjustment, carbon source supplementation), precise metering of the dosage of chemicals is achieved to achieve precise dosing and save drug consumption.
Characteristics: The drug may be corrosive (such as acid or alkali), and suitable lining and electrode materials (such as PTFE lining, Hastelloy alloy, or tantalum electrode) need to be selected according to the properties of the drug.
Measurement of backwash flow rate in filter tank:
Purpose: Monitor the flow rate of the backwash water pump to ensure appropriate backwash intensity.
Features: The direction of water flow may change, and the bidirectional measurement function is very useful.
