What should be paid attention to when selecting FESTO cylinders
The FESTO cylinder mainly relies on practical experience and uses simple instruments to diagnose the location of the fault and identify the cause of the fault, which is called the empirical method. The empirical method can be used to diagnose patients according to the four characters of "look, smell, ask, and cut" in traditional Chinese medicine.
1) Hope
The movement speed of FESTO cylinder is incorrect and abnormally changing; Whether the pressure displayed on each pressure gauge meets the requirements and whether there are significant fluctuations; Whether the lubricating oil and drip volume meet the requirements; Can the condensed water be discharged normally; Is the air discharged from the exhaust port of the directional valve clean; Is the indicator light of the solenoid valve displaying normally; Check whether the fastening screws and pipe joints are loose; Whether the pipeline is twisted or flattened; Is there any obvious vibration present; Whether there is any change in processing output, etc.
2) Smell it
Including auditory and nasal sounds, such as whether there are any abnormal sounds when the cylinder and directional valve change direction; When the system stops working but has not yet been depressurized, whether there is any air leakage in various places, the size of the air leakage sound, and its daily changes; Whether the electromagnetic coil and sealing ring emit any special odor due to overheating.
3) Ask
Refer to the technical files of the pneumatic system to understand its working procedures, operational requirements, and main technical parameters; Refer to product samples to understand the function, structure, functionality, and performance of each component; Refer to maintenance and inspection records to understand the daily maintenance work situation; Visit on-site operators to understand the operation status of the equipment, the signs before the occurrence of the fault, and the conditions at the time of the fault; Understand the faults that have occurred in the past and their troubleshooting methods.
4) Cut it
Such as the tactile sensation and temperature on the outside of the relative moving parts, as well as the temperature rise at the electromagnetic coil. If you feel hot after touching for two seconds, you should investigate the cause. Whether there is any vibration sensation in the cylinder, pipeline, etc., whether there is any crawling sensation in the cylinder, and whether there is any air leakage at the joints and components.
The empirical method is simple and easy to implement, but due to differences in individual feelings, practical experience, and judgment abilities, there may be certain limitations in diagnosing faults.
A. What form of cylinder should be chosen; (For example, a single acting cylinder, or a double acting cylinder. If there is no load on the return trip, a single acting cylinder can be selected. Otherwise, a double acting cylinder can be selected.)
B. The cylinder diameter of a cylinder refers to the inner diameter of the cylinder;

The calculation method of FESTO cylinder: Calculate the required cylinder force from the load.

A: The area of compressed air acting on the direction of piston movement, unit: c ㎡; P: Gas supply pressure, unit: kgf/c ㎡; F: Cylinder force, unit: kgf; A=3.14(D/2)? -3.14(d/2)? The return direction needs to subtract the cross-sectional area of the cylinder piston rod from the direction of the load, and if it is the direction of the push out, it does not need to be subtracted. From this, the FESTO cylinder diameter D can be calculated. Based on the calculation results, the cylinder model is preliminarily selected, and then verified according to the cylinder parameters.
FESTO cylinder selects cylinder stroke based on working stroke, leaving adjustment/limit allowance. Usually, the stroke of the cylinder has an error of ± 1mm. When positioning is required, the cylinder stroke can be selected to be greater than the required stroke and a limit device can be used for positioning. 1.2.4.2.3/Consider the auxiliary parameters of the cylinder.

1. Throttle valve: Its main function is to regulate the airflow and control the speed of pneumatic components.
2. It can usually be divided into intake throttle valve and exhaust throttle valve. The intake throttle valve directly adjusts the airflow size of the supply pipe, while the exhaust throttle valve adjusts the airflow size of the exhaust pipe to control the speed of the components, making it more stable than the intake throttle valve.
3. Selection. In order to achieve a more stable operation of the cylinder, we choose an exhaust throttle type throttle valve. Select the throttle valve model based on the cylinder structure thread (G1/4) and the selected cylinder specifications.
4. Electromagnetic directional valve: The reciprocating motion of the cylinder and the suction and placement actions of the vacuum suction cup are controlled by the electromagnetic directional valve. The action of the electromagnetic directional valve is driven by the electrical control system directly outputting electrical signals. So, the electromagnetic directional valve is actually a control component of the pneumatic system.
5. The commonly used electromagnetic directional valves include: two position four-way solenoid valve, three position four-way solenoid valve, two position five way solenoid valve, and three position five way solenoid valve.
6. Distinguish the concepts of "position" and "communication": Position refers to the working position of the valve core, and two positions are two working positions; Tong refers to the airflow path formed inside the valve body through the movement of the valve core.
