The manufacturer of the liquid level transmitter provides guidance on how to install it correctly
Date: 2017-11-10Read: 14

Liquid level transmitters have been widely used in industrial production to measure liquid flow rates with significant effectiveness. Proper installation of the liquid level transmitter can ensure its normal operation and also reduce the probability of damage during use. The manufacturer of the liquid level transmitter will introduce the correct method for installing the liquid level transmitter:

1. The grounding terminal of the liquid level transmitter should be reliably grounded, and the power shielding wire should be connected to it.
2. When installing the liquid level transmitter on the side, the bending radius of the air guide cable should be greater than 10 centimeters to avoid excessive bending and damage to the air guide cable.
3. In situations where there is significant vibration, steel wire can be wrapped around the transmitter to reduce vibration and prevent cable breakage.
4. The installation direction of the liquid level transmitter is vertical, and the installation position of the immersion type should be far away from the liquid inlet and outlet and the agitator.
5. When measuring the liquid level of flowing or stirred liquids, a steel pipe with an inner diameter of about 45mm (with several small holes drilled at different heights on the opposite side of the liquid flow direction to allow water to enter the pipe smoothly) is usually fixed in water, and then the immersion type liquid level transmitter is placed in the steel pipe for use.
6. When installing a liquid level gauge in a stationary deep well or water tank, a steel pipe with an inner diameter of about 45mm (with several small holes drilled at different heights to allow water to enter the pipe smoothly) is usually fixed in the water, and then the immersion type liquid level transmitter can be put into the steel pipe for use.
7. In cases where the medium fluctuates greatly and the air conducting cable is long, the probe should be fixed with a sleeve to prevent the probe from swinging and affecting the measurement accuracy.
8. Due to the easy deposition of sludge, oil residue and other substances at the bottom of the tank or cabin, it is recommended to keep the measuring probe at a certain height away from the bottom of the tank (cabin) to prevent debris from blocking the probe.
In addition, special attention should be paid to the following two points when using and maintaining the liquid level transmitter:
1. If the measured medium contains impurities or sediment, the measuring tube and float should be cleaned regularly. When cleaning the float, appropriate cleaning agents should be used, and do not knock or burn it with open flames to prevent demagnetization of the magnetic steel.
2. After long-term use, especially under high temperature conditions, if the indicator tracking of the liquid level transmitter is not flexible, the magnetic field strength of the float magnet should be checked first. If it has been demagnetized, the magnet or float should be replaced.
