Two indicators that must be noted when choosing a voltage withstand tester
Date: 2019-09-25Read: 86
Voltage endurance testerIt is an instrument for measuring the withstand voltage strength, which can intuitively, accurately, quickly, and reliably test the electrical safety performance indicators such as breakdown voltage and leakage current of various tested objects. It can also be used as a tributary high-voltage source to test the performance of components and the whole machine.
Firstly, adjust the output voltage of the voltage tester to 50% of the specified value, and then connect the test sample. When the observed voltage drop is less than 10% of the voltage value, it is considered that the power of the voltage tester is sufficient. That is to say, if the voltage value of the voltage tester for a certain product is 3000 volts, adjust the output voltage of the voltage tester to 1500 volts first and then connect the test sample. If the voltage drop of the voltage tester at this time is not greater than 150 volts, then the power of the voltage tester is sufficient. There is distributed capacitance between the charged part of the test sample and the shell. A capacitor has a CX capacitance impedance, and when an AC voltage is applied across the ends of this CX capacitor, a current is generated.
The two important indicators when choosing a voltage withstand tester Z are that the output voltage value and alarm current value of Z must be greater than the voltage value and alarm current value you need. The general test product standard specifies the applied high voltage value and alarm judgment current value. If the applied voltage is higher and the alarm judgment current is greater, then the power of the voltage tester's step-up transformer needs to be greater. Generally, the power of the voltage tester's step-up transformer includes 0.2kVA, 0.5kVA, 1kVA, 2kVA, 3kVA, etc. Z high voltage can reach tens of thousands of volts. Z-large alarm current 500mA-1000mA, etc. So when choosing a voltage tester, it is important to pay attention to these two indicators. Choosing too much power will result in waste, and choosing too little will prevent the voltage withstand test from correctly determining whether it is qualified or not. We believe that the method of selecting the power of the voltage tester according to IEC414 or GB6738-86 is relatively scientific.
