To makeDanfoss expansion valveThe automatic adjustment function must be adjusted during the refrigeration system debugging in order to ensure that the Danfoss expansion valve can correctly perform automatic adjustment during system operation.
The adjustment of Danfoss expansion valve is achieved through the adjustment rod. The rotation of the adjusting rod is essentially the compression or relaxation of the spring, which adjusts the static assembly superheat of the Danfoss expansion valve to meet the needs of refrigeration conditions. Generally, forward rotation means advance, while reverse rotation means retreat. When adjusting the evaporation pressure, the cap can be removed and the adjusting rod can be rotated clockwise with a wrench to increase the compression of the spring, forcing the diaphragm to move upward and close the valve. The evaporation pressure will gradually decrease. Similarly, the anti rotation adjustment rod will open the valve and increase the evaporation pressure.
When adjusting the Danfoss expansion valve, a low-pressure gauge should be installed on the compressor suction shut-off valve to observe the changes in evaporation pressure. The normal evaporation pressure is when white frost or condensation forms in the suction duct (white frost forms in medium and low temperature equipment; condensation forms in air conditioning equipment). If white frost or condensation forms on the suction shut-off valve or even half of the compressor, it indicates that the valve is too large and should be adjusted smaller. If white frost or condensation only forms on the evaporator outlet or cannot form on the outlet end, it indicates that the valve is too small and should be adjusted larger.
The debugging of Danfoss expansion valves can generally be carried out in two steps. At the beginning, it is coarse adjustment, which means it can rotate about one circle each time it is adjusted. When the equipment approaches its operating conditions, it should be finely adjusted by rotating 1/4 to 1/2 of a turn each time. After each adjustment, the system should be operated for a few minutes or more, and the changes in the low pressure gauge should be observed before deciding on the next adjustment.Danfoss expansion valveAt the end of debugging, the cap should be screwed on and tightened with a wrench to prevent refrigerant leakage.
Adjusting Danfoss expansion valves is a meticulous task, and it is important to avoid being impatient during the adjustment process. The adjusted Danfoss expansion valve shall not be adjusted for any other reason unless the operating conditions of the refrigeration unit are changed. The Danfoss expansion valve of a typical factory unit has already been adjusted before leaving the factory, and should not be further adjusted during on-site debugging.
