Selection and Design of Shanghai Yichuan Throttle Flow Meter
Date: 2021-10-20Read: 26
Shanghai YichuanThe throttling flowmeter is a measuring device with a long history of use and relatively complete experimental data. It is a flow meter that displays the flow rate by measuring the static pressure difference generated by the flow of fluid through a throttling device. The most basic configuration consists of a throttling device, a differential pressure signal pipeline, and a differential pressure transmitter. The commonly used throttling device in industry is a standardized "standard throttling device". For example, standard orifice plates, nozzles, Venturi nozzles, Venturi tubes. Nowadays, throttling devices, especially nozzle flow measurement, are moving towards integration. High precision differential pressure transmitters and temperature compensation are integrated with the nozzle, greatly improving accuracy. The use of pitot tube technology enables online calibration of throttling devices. Nowadays, some non-standard throttling devices are also used in industrial measurement, such as double orifice plates, circular orifice plates, annular orifice plates, etc. These instruments generally require real flow calibration. The structure of the standard throttling device is relatively simple, but due to its high requirements for dimensional tolerances, shape and positional tolerances, the technical difficulty of processing is relatively high. Taking standard orifice plates as an example, they belong to ultra-thin plate-shaped parts and are prone to deformation during processing. Larger orifice plates are also prone to deformation during use, which affects accuracy. The pressure tapping hole of the throttling device is generally not opened too large, and deformation may occur during use, which affects the measurement accuracy. Standard orifice plates, due to fluid friction during use, can also cause wear on structural elements related to measurement (such as sharp angles) and reduce measurement accuracy.
Despite the early development of differential pressure flow meters, with the continuous improvement and development of various other forms of flow meters, and the increasing demand for flow measurement in industrial development, the position of differential pressure flow meters in industrial measurement has been partially replaced by advanced, high-precision, and convenient flow meters
