Operation steps:

1. Transfer the thoroughly mixed water sample to a transparent cylinder and fill it up.

2. Observe vertically from the mouth of the pipe with your eyes, while turning on the switch at the lower outlet. Stop draining when you can just recognize the black cross shape at the bottom.

3. Record the height of the water column (CM).

4. Repeat the above steps twice and take the average.

5. Result calculation: Transparency=Water column height (CM), recorded to the nearest 10MM.

1. Water samples with a high concentration of suspended matter may sometimes experience sedimentation at the bottom of the transparency meter, which is a cause of error and should be noted.

2. Lighting conditions should be as consistent as possible. The light source should be white light in principle, avoiding direct sunlight.

3. Differences in vision can cause deviations in the measured values, so it is best to choose a tester with normal vision and take the average of multiple or multiple measurements.

Transparency Disk Product Introduction:

The Saybolt disk is used to determine the transparency or translucency of water quality. The transparency depends on the turbidity of the water (referring to the degree of turbidity caused by the presence of various plankton and suspended solids in the water) and the chromaticity (the color caused by suspended organisms and dissolved organic matter). When in use, sink the dial to a depth that is barely visible to calibrate the water quality transparency.

Transparency disk structure composition:

This product is divided into four parts, namely the main black and white plate, the stainless steel sinker that causes the plate to settle, the tape measure, and the stainless steel hook.

Usage of Transparency Disk:

1. Installation: After installing the acrylic disc according to the diagram, tie the rope to the heavy ring, slowly lower it, and tighten it carefully.

2. Test: Release the installed transparency dial ruler and slowly immerse it in water. When the black and white colors on the dial cannot be distinguished, the reading on the ruler is the transparency value.

3. After use, open, clean, dry and store properly for future use.
