Preparation before assembly

  1. Install valve body and valve platePlace the valve plate into the valve body, ensuring that the sealing surface between the valve plate and the valve body is tightly adhered without any jamming. If necessary, apply an appropriate amount of lubricating grease on the sealing surface to facilitate the installation of the valve plate and subsequent opening and closing actions.

  2. Install valve stemInsert the valve stem into the valve stem hole above the valve body, connecting the bottom of the valve stem to the valve plate. The connection methods between the valve stem and the valve plate usually include key connection, pin connection, or threaded connection. It is necessary to ensure a firm connection to prevent the valve stem from detaching from the valve plate during use.

  3. Install bearings and sealsInstall bearings at the mating area between the valve stem and valve body to reduce friction during valve stem rotation. At the same time, seals such as packing seals or mechanical seals should be installed at the part where the valve stem penetrates the valve body to prevent medium leakage. When installing seals, pay attention to their installation direction and compression amount to ensure the sealing effect.

  4. Install pneumatic actuatorConnect the pneumatic actuator to the valve stem, usually using couplings or connecting brackets. When connecting, it is necessary to ensure that the output shaft of the pneumatic actuator is concentric with the valve stem, and the deviation should be within the allowable range to ensure the normal opening and closing action of the valve. After the connection is completed, connect the air pipe according to the requirements of the pneumatic actuator and blow it to remove impurities and moisture inside the pipe5.

  5. Install limit switchInstall the limit switch on the position of the pneumatic actuator or valve body, adjust the position and parameters of the limit switch according to the instructions, so that it can accurately control the opening and closing position of the valve.

  6. Install the attachmentSuch as handwheels, nameplates, bolts, nuts, etc. The handwheel should be installed firmly and easy to operate; The nameplate should clearly indicate the model, specifications, pressure rating, medium flow direction, and other information of the valve; Bolts and nuts should be tightened evenly to prevent loosening.

Inspection after assembly


  1. Visual inspectionCheck whether the appearance of the valve is clean, free of scratches, bumps, deformations, and other defects, and whether the installation of each component is firm and free of looseness.

  2. Action CheckIn the absence of medium pressure, manually or pneumatically operate the valve and check whether the opening and closing actions of the valve are flexible, smooth, and free of jamming, jumping, abnormal resistance, and other phenomena. At the same time, check whether the action of the limit switch is accurate and whether it can provide timely feedback on the opening and closing positions of the valve.

  3. sealing inspectionConduct air tightness test or water pressure test to check the sealing performance of the valve. In the closed state of the valve, fill one side of the valve with a certain pressure of gas or water, while keeping the other side sealed, and check whether there is any leakage in the valve. If there is a leak, the cause should be promptly identified and repaired.

  4. Adjustment and TestingAdjust and test the opening and closing speed of the valve, the position of the limit switch, and the air source pressure of the pneumatic actuator according to actual needs to ensure that all performance indicators of the valve meet the requirements.
