One Technical requirements and tests for electronic cigarette accessories
1. Mechanical and physical properties
1) Structure
The structure of electronic cigarette accessories meets the requirements of GB4706.1 for structure.
The external terminals of electronic cigarette accessories include but are not limited to charging interfaces, and their design should be able to prevent short circuits, polarity reversal, and installation misalignment caused by negligence.
2) Sealing performance
1. Fillable type
Inject the liquid according to the manufacturer's recommended method. Place the suction end of the smoking device or liquid storage device facing downwards, vertically, or in an unfavorable direction on the absorbent paper for 6 hours. There should be no leakage of electronic cigarette liquid during the entire process. After the test is completed, visually inspect the absorbent paper for any traces of electronic cigarette liquid.
2. Pre filled type
The suction end of the smoking device or liquid storage device should be placed on the absorbent paper facing downwards, vertically, or in an unfavorable direction for 6 hours. There should be no leakage of electronic cigarette liquid during the entire process. After the test is completed, visually inspect the absorbent paper for any traces of electronic cigarette liquid.
The entire process should have no leakage of electronic cigarette liquid, and after the test is completed, visually inspect the absorbent paper for any traces of electronic cigarette liquid.
3) Reservoir level
The liquid reservoir that can be filled with electronic cigarettes should have large and small liquid level indicators.
4) Internal wiring
The internal wiring of electronic cigarette fittings should comply with the requirements for internal wiring in GB4706.1.
5) Pressure release
Directly overcharge the battery according to standard test methods.
Experimental method: The test voltage of the battery is 4.6V, and the charging current is 3CA.
During the experiment, monitor the temperature changes of the battery. If one of the following two situations occurs, the experiment will be terminated:
a) The continuous charging time of the battery reaches 7 hours or the larger value of the charging time defined by the manufacturer;
b) The battery temperature drops to 20% below the peak value.
The battery should not catch fire or explode
6) Free fall
Free fall test
Inject the liquid to a large volume/assemble the matching smoke bomb, fully charge the battery, and conduct the free fall test method according to the battery pack.
Experimental method: After being fully charged, it falls freely onto a concrete slab at a height of 1.5m. Two end faces of cylindrical and button type batteries were dropped once each, and the cylindrical surface was dropped twice, for a total of four drop tests; Each side of the square and flexible packaging batteries was dropped once, and a total of six tests were conducted.
The battery should not catch fire or explode.
Experiment 1. Sealing test after falling
After falling, place the electronic cigarette nozzle vertically on the absorbent paper with it facing downwards for 1 hour, and visually inspect whether there are any traces of electronic cigarette liquid on the absorbent paper. If the reservoir is made of fragile material, this experiment can be exempted.
The entire process should have no leakage of electronic cigarette liquid, and after the test is completed, visually inspect the absorbent paper for any traces of electronic cigarette liquid
Experiment 2. Charge and discharge test after falling
Electronic cigarette holders work under standard conditions until the injected electronic cigarette liquid is used up (unless the battery stops discharging), or until the battery * discharges. The first of the two situations mentioned above should be chosen as the standard; Afterwards, charge according to the method provided in the product manual. Test surface temperature:
The battery should not ignite, explode, leak, or exceed a temperature of 150 ℃ during the short circuit process.
4. Chemical properties
1) General requirements
Test according to the standard GB/T 26125.
Determination of six restricted substances (lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls, and polybrominated diphenyl ethers) in electronic and electrical products.
