By driving an ultrasonic generator with a high-voltage amplifier, the sound field changes caused by the gas-liquid interface fluctuations of the jet are measured, and the measurement of the gas-liquid interface fluctuations of the jet is achieved based on the principle of ultrasonic scattering.

The experimental system mainly includes: ultrasonic generator and high-voltage amplifier, ultrasonic receiver and signal amplifier, data acquisition card, software LabView, and computer terminal. During the experiment, modulated electrical signals were generated using LabView software and NI data acquisition card, and transmitted to the ATA-2082 high-voltage amplifier to excite the ultrasonic generator and generate ultrasonic waves. Subsequently, the changes in image and sound field information caused by the jet were collected using high-speed cameras and ultrasonic receivers, respectively. Through subsequent data processing, the measurement of the gas-liquid interface of the jet was achieved.

By analyzing the data collected by high-speed cameras and ultrasonic waves, we focused on extracting energy from the acoustic signals and obtained information related to the jet flowRelated quantities of gas-liquid interface fluctuations. Comparing the results obtained from the two measurement methods, as shown in the figure, the maximum error of the ultrasonic measurement result is 0.601mm, and the average measurement error is 0.116mm.

In addition, when using measurement results from high-speed cameras as a reference, the ultrasound measurement resultsMaximum relative error30.9% and an average relative measurement error of 2.1%. The measurement results of the two show good consistency.
