Fluke 884 digital multimeter setting trigger delay
A digital multimeter can delay measurement for a period of time after receiving a trigger signal. This feature is very useful when waiting for the signal to stabilize before measurement. After triggering the delay, the delay will be used for all functions and ranges.
Please set the trigger delay according to the following steps:
1. Press the L key
2. Press the soft key labeled TRIGGER.
3. Press the soft key labeled SET DELAY. The trigger delay can range from 0 to 3600 seconds, with a resolution of 10 milliseconds.
4. Press the<-- or -->key to select the digit you want to adjust.
After selecting the corresponding digit, press the soft key marked with -- to decrease the digit, or press the soft key marked with++to increase the digit.
5. After setting the corresponding delay, press the soft key marked with ENTER

Fluke 884 digital multimeter sets sample size
Normally, if in the "waiting for trigger" state, the digital multimeter takes a measurement (or sample) every time it receives a trigger. However, you can set the digital multimeter to measure a specific number of times per trigger.

Please follow the steps below to set the number of samples for each trigger measurement:
1. Press the L key.
2. Press the soft key labeled TRIGGER.
3. Press the soft key labeled # SAMPLES.
The number of samples collected each time can be set from 0 to 50000.
4. Press the<-- or -->key to select the digit you want to adjust.
After selecting the corresponding digit, press the soft key marked with -- to decrease the digit, or press the soft key marked with++to increase the digit.
5. After setting the corresponding delay, press the soft key marked with ENTER

After each measurement is completed by the digital multimeter, a low effective pulse signal will be provided on the trigger port of the rear panel. For more detailed information about this signal, please refer to the technical specifications section.
Operating and controlling memory
The digital multimeter uses internal and external memory (8846A) to store readings and configuration information. On the 8846A model, external storage is connected through the USB port on the front panel of the digital multimeter. Fluke can provide storage with different storage capacities. For the product number of Fluke, please refer to the "Options and Accessories" section in Chapter 1. In addition to saving and calling readings and configurations, digital multimeters provide storage management functionality that allows for file deletion.

When operating the memory management function, please press the M key. Five soft keys will appear in the memory menu section: RECALL CONFIG, RECALL READING, STORE CONFIG, STORE READING, and MANAGE STORY.
Fluke 884 digital multimeter saves readings to memory
The digital multimeter stores up to 9999 readings in an internal memory file. When using external storage, 8846A can support an additional 999 reading files, each of which can store 10000 readings.
Please follow these steps to save the readings to the internal memory:
1. Press the M key.
2. Press the STORE READING soft key, as shown in the above figure.
If 'Internal Memory' is not highlighted, please press the INTERNAL Memory soft key.
4. Press the # SAMPLES soft key.
5. Press the<-- or -->key to adjust the sample size.
After selecting the corresponding digit, press the soft key marked with -- to decrease the digit, or press the soft key marked with++to increase the digit. When the 2nd Meas function is enabled, each primary and secondary reading is counted as a sample and displayed in different rows/columns of the reading file.
After setting the corresponding sample size, press the ENTER soft key to return to the save reading menu.
7. Press the START soft key to activate the measurement storage function. The START soft key will change to STOP, and pressing this soft key will stop the storage process. When the number of stored samples is reached, the soft key label will revert back to START. When saving readings, the MEM indicator on the display screen will also be illuminated.

Attention
When saving readings in internal memory, regardless of the value of the sample size, the number of saved readings cannot exceed 9999.
Please follow the steps below to save the reading to the external memory (8846A):
1. Press the M key.
2. Press the STORE READING soft key.
3. Press the USB soft key.
4. Press the # SAMPLES soft key.
5. Press the<-- or -->key to adjust the sample size.
After selecting the corresponding digit, press the soft key marked with -- to decrease the digit, or press the soft key marked with++to increase the digit.
After setting the corresponding sample size, press the ENTER soft key to return to the save reading menu.
