Event Background

According to the Notice of the General Office of the State Administration for Market Regulation on Carrying out the Evaluation of Domestic Instrument and Meter Metrology Testing Work (Market Supervision Metrology Letter [2024] No. 205), the evaluation of domestic instrument and meter metrology testing work will be organized nationwide. The evaluation of coordinate measuring machine metrology testing work will be undertaken by the China Academy of Metrology, aiming to help instrument and meter production enterprises carry out targeted scientific research and technological breakthroughs, continuously improve the independent innovation ability and level of domestic instruments and meters, enhance the core competitiveness of the instrument and meter industry, and assist in the high-quality development of China's instrument and meter industry.


Expert background

Wei Hengzheng, Ph.D., Associate Researcher, Director of the Coordinate Measurement and Application Laboratory at the Chinese Academy of Metrology, National Metrology Standard Level One Evaluator, Guojiayiji Registered Metrologist, Member of the Geometric Quantity Professional Committee of the Chinese Society for Metrology and Testing, and Visiting Scholar at the German Federal Institute of Physical Technology (PTB). The main research directions are coordinate measurement and application technology, as well as thread measurement technology. As the main drafter, I have formulated and revised more than 10 national standards and metrological technical specifications.

On October 17th, Teacher Wei Hengzheng came to Shenzhen Zhongtu Instrument Co., Ltd. to carry out the measurement testing and evaluation of three coordinate measuring machines. Teacher Wei Hengzheng used specialized testing standard devices to rigorously and meticulously test the various performance indicators of the fixed bridge coordinate measuring machine, and the evaluation process was strictly carried out in accordance with national standards. The results showed that the fixed bridge coordinate measuring machine of Zhongtu Instrument passed all dozens of technical indicators in the three categories of comprehensive error, geometric error, and software error, meeting the relevant requirements and fully verifying the measurement accuracy and metrological safety of the product.



The worktable, X-axis crossbeam, and Z-axis of the fixed bridge coordinate measuring machine are made of high-quality granite, and each axis has the same thermodynamic performance, which can effectively eliminate the influence of temperature changes on the structure and ensure the high precision and stability of the instrument during long-term operation. This type of three coordinate system has a series of unique technical advantages:

·Design of "closed frame" and mobile workbench: Combined with a dovetail guide rail system, it achieves frictionless and wear-resistant motion, greatly improving rigidity compared to traditional structures;

·High speed scanning capability: The ACH100S-5 automatic rotating measuring seat has 1728 repeatable positioning spatial positions, and the CP500S scanning probe innovatively integrates triggering and scanning dual modes, with a collection speed of 1000 points per second, which can quickly construct complex surface models;

·Dual algorithm certification: German PTB least squares and minimum area method dual certification, supporting ISO and ASME standards;

·Autonomous and controllable system: equipped with self-developed scanning probe sockets, PowerDMIS software, and Alpha series controllers, providing domestically produced trusted options;

·Multiple safety measures: Equipped with a pressure detection device to prevent Z-axis from falling due to gas interruption, ensuring the safety of the probe.
