What is the relationship between thermal resistance transmitter and resistance transmitter?
Date: 2025-11-11Read: 6

Thermistor is a commonly used temperature detection sensor in medium and low temperature areas, and its temperature measurement principle is based on the characteristic of the resistance value of metal conductors changing with temperature. The thermal resistance transmitter utilizes this characteristic to receive the resistance signal of the on-site thermal resistance, and after isolation and linearization processing, outputs a standard signal that is linearly related to temperature. Therefore, it is also known as a thermal resistance temperature transmitter. A resistance transmitter is different. It receives pure resistance signals on site, and after isolation processing, outputs a standard signal that is linearly related to the resistance value.

Although both thermal resistance transmitters and resistance transmitters are based on collecting resistance signals, their core measurement conversion objects are fundamentally different: thermal resistance transmitters ultimately measure temperature values, while resistance transmitters ultimately measure resistance values. Therefore, the two products are not directly related and cannot be used interchangeably.
