  • Armor layer testing: Verify the diameter, twisting direction, and tensile strength of the steel wire to prevent mechanical damage. ‌

  • Water blocking performance: Test the longitudinal/radial water blocking ability to prevent water infiltration from affecting signal transmission. ‌

Electrical safety testing

  • Voltage withstand test: Apply AC 1500V or DC 2000V high voltage between the live parts and the casing for 1 minute to ensure no breakdown. ‌

  • Bundled combustion: Test the flame spread and smoke density when multiple optical cables are burned simultaneously. ‌

Environmental adaptability testing

  • Temperature and humidity cycle: Simulate the temperature difference at the end of the mine (such as -20 ℃ to 70 ℃) to verify material stability. ‌

  • Corrosion resistance: The outer sheath's resistance to acid and alkali corrosion is tested through salt spray testing. ‌
