YC cable, also known as heavy-duty universal rubber sheathed cable, is a type of commonly known rubber sheathed wire. Yc and YCW cables are suitable for household appliances, power tools, and various mobile electrical equipment or lightweight mobile electrical equipment with AC rated voltage below 450/750V, or for temporary construction on construction sites, and can withstand significant mechanical external forces. The long-term allowable working temperature of the wire core should not exceed 60 ℃.
Y represents rubber insulation, and C represents heavy-duty cables. The sheath inside is also rubber insulated, and the conductor is copper wire. Rubber sheathed cables are divided into heavy-duty cables (yc cables, YCW cables), medium-sized cables (yz cables, YZW cables), and lightweight cables (YQ cables, YQW cables). Good YC cables and YCW cables have insulation layers made of rubber, and conductors made of oxygen free copper rods with good conductivity are preferred. However, most products in the current market cannot achieve this quality to some extent.

YC and YCW cables are mainly multi-core cables, with commonly used ones being 2-core, 3-core, 4-core, and 5-core. The area of the copper core ranges from 0.75 to several tens of square meters. Rubber insulated, rubber sheathed, and non combustible universal rubber sheathed cables are divided into YC cables, YCW cables, YZ cables, YZW cables, field cables, and rubber sheathed wires.
