I. Overview

The LG series orifice flowmeter is a typical differential pressure flowmeter, which is used in conjunction with a differential pressure transmitter and display instrument (or computer) to measure fluid flow rate. Due to its simple structure, easy installation, and reliable operation, it has been widely used in the entire industrial production field. Orifice flow meters have a long history of use, rich experimental data, standardized design and processing, and do not require real flow calibration. It has multiple types of measuring media, a wide range of applicability for measuring pipe diameters, a measurement temperature of up to 550 ℃, and a pressure resistance of up to 32MPa. It is one of the main instruments for measuring flow in industrial automation control processes.

2、 Working principle

The fluid filled in the pipeline flows through the throttling device inside the pipeline, causing local contraction near the throttling element, increasing the flow velocity, and creating a static pressure difference on both sides upstream and downstream. Under the condition of known parameters, the relationship between differential pressure and flow rate can be derived based on the principle of flow continuity and Bernoulli equation to obtain the flow rate. The basic formula is as follows:

3、 Product Features

The structure is easy to replicate, simple and sturdy, with stable and reliable performance and low cost;

Widely applicable, including single-phase fluids (liquid, gas, steam) and partially mixed phase flows, with products available for pipe diameters and working conditions (temperature, pressure) in general production processes;

Throttle components, differential pressure transmitters, and display instruments can be produced separately by different manufacturers, facilitating large-scale production;

The use of ring chambers and drilling to reduce pressure has improved measurement accuracy and shortened the minimum length of straight pipe required for installation;

In addition to online and dynamic full compensation functions, the intelligent orifice flowmeter can also self diagnose and set its own range;
